Day 1 - Split - Makarska
Depart from Split port at 1 p.m. (late arrivals can join in Makarska) and cruise along the Dalmatian coast towards Makarska. Have lunch on board, and take an afternoon swim at one of the wonderful beaches. There is an optional zipline or rafting over the Cetina River Canyon for adrenaline lovers. Makarska is a famous tourist destination with many restaurants, bars, and a beautiful promenade along its popular beach. Be sure to walk through the city streets and appreciate the abundance of churches and other cultural sites. Overnight in Makarska. (L)
Day 2 - Makarska - Bol - Stari Grad
In the morning, cruise towards Brač Island to the town of Bol, known for its famous Zlatni Rat (Golden Horn) beach, a natural phenomenon and the most photographed beach in Croatia. After a swim break followed by lunch, we continue our journey towards Stari Grad on Hvar island. You have the afternoon free to explore this ancient town, one of the oldest in Europe. Overnight in one of the ports in or near Stari Grad, depending on availability. (B, L)
Day 3 - Stari Grad - Hvar
The next stop is the town of Hvar. After lunch, we stop for a swim and to relax at the nearby Pakleni Islands. We arrive at Hvar in the afternoon, followed by a guided tour of this extraordinary town (included on Premium Superior vessels). Some attractions include the Renaissance cathedral with its original tower, the oldest community theater in Europe founded in 1612, and the Spanjola fortress towering high above the town. Hvar town is also a jet-setter destination with plenty of restaurants, bars, cafés, and clubs. (B, L)
Day 4 - Hvar - Biševo (Blue cave) - Vis
Early morning, we cruise towards the island of Biševo to visit the Blue cave (entrance fee paid locally). The cruise continues towards the island of Vis, a former strategic harbor for the Yugoslav Navy and off-limits to tourists for many years. Vis has retained a rather special charm, embodying the phrase the Mediterranean as it once was. Vis was developed near the remains of ancient Issa, the first urban center in Croatia, formed by the Greeks in the 4th century BC. Visit the remains of the Roman Baths and City Museum, or take a walk and enjoy the views of the beautiful Villae Rusticae along the waterfront. (B, L)
Day 5 - Vis - Korčula
During breakfast, we depart for Korčula, the birthplace of the famous explorer and adventurer Marco Polo. Surrounded by medieval walls, Korčula resembles a mini Dubrovnik. It has more legends, tales, and monuments than you will find anywhere else. Today, Korčula is the only place in the world where the Spanish medieval knight’s game, Moreška, is still performed. Upon arrival, you can enjoy a guided walking tour through the streets of the old town (included on Premium Superior vessels). Experience the numerous konobas, restaurants, cocktail bars, and clubs within and around the city walls. Overnight in port. (B, L)
Day 6 - Korčula - Mljet - Šipan or Slano
Cruising continues towards one of the greenest Adriatic islands, the island of Mljet, where on the western part, the Mljet National Park is situated (entrance fee paid locally). Free time to enjoy the beauties of the National Park. Two salt lakes are connected to the sea by a narrow channel. Take a boat ride to the St. Mary isle in the Great Lake, where the old church and monastery are situated. Enjoy cycling around, canoeing, or swimming in the lakes. The cruise resumes towards Šipan, part of Elaphiti islands near Dubrovnik, or Slano on the coastline. Both are small fishermen’s villages, one of which we will stay overnight. Day 7 - Šipan or Slano - Dubrovnik
Early in the morning, depart towards our final destination, a true pearl of the Adriatic, Dubrovnik. After lunch and a short swim stop, join a guided tour of Dubrovnik, followed by an optional cable car ride up to Srđ mountain for spectacular views of the old town. We recommend a stroll along the city walls, 1940m in length, with magnificent views of the old town of Dubrovnik and the surrounding islands. Overnight in the Gruž harbor. (B, L)
Day 8 - Dubrovnik
After early breakfast, it’s time to say goodbye to the crew and new friends. Check out by 9 a.m. (B)
