Day 1 - Split
Check-in from 2 p.m. onwards. After settling in, enjoy a guided tour of the city (not possible for late arrivals). A dynamic port city with a medieval old town built around the 1,700-year-old Diocletian›s Palace. Split bustles with modern life amid its ancient Roman setting. Cafés, restaurants, and galleries fill the stone alleyways while the seafront and Marjan peninsula make Croatia’s second-largest city one of the Mediterranean’s most compelling towns. Return to the vessel for a welcome dinner. Overnight in Split. (D)
Day 2 - Split - Stari Grad (Hvar) - Vis
During breakfast, we set sail for our first stop. Hvar is an island covered in vibrant and fragrant lavender fields and olive groves. This historic island town is home to 7th-century fortifications, a Venetian loggia, historic piazzas, and the oldest municipal theater in Europe. Learn more about it on a guided city tour. Back on the vessel for lunch then cruise toward the island of Vis. Vis was once one of the leading Greek colonies in the 4th century BC. As a Yugoslavian army base for an extended period, until 1991, Vis was closed and left untouched by the development of tourism for many years. As a result, its culture and architecture are remarkably well preserved. Take a walk, enjoy the views, and taste local delicacies at many excellent restaurants and taverns along the promenade. Overnight in Vis. (B, L)
Day 3 - Vis (Blue Cave) - Primošten
After breakfast, visit the famous Blue Cave on Biševo, a splendorous and unique geomorphological natural wonder. A hypnotizing silver-blue light illuminates the space inside the cave when the sunlight hits the ocean’s surface and reflects off the seabed. The possibility of a cave visit will depend on weather conditions. Enjoy lunch on board as the cruise continues towards Primošten, a small, picturesque town situated between Šibenik and Trogir, in the central part of the Adriatic coast. Surrounded by seven other islets, a wonderful sight and a beautiful place to explore. Late afternoon transfer inland for an authentic heritage dinner. Overnight in Primošten. (B, L, D)
Day 4 - Primošten - National Park Kornati - Zadar
Early morning departure to the Kornati National Park which consists of around 100 islands, islets, and reefs. The continental part includes a quarter of the park’s surface, while the rest belongs to the marine ecosystem. Visit ruins of the ancient Illyrian fortress, Roman villas, the old Christian church of St Mary, and medieval fortresses and settlements. Afterward, the cruise continues towards Zadar, the capital of Dalmatia for centuries and the oldest university town in Croatia. Visit the Roman Forum from the 1st century, St. Donat church from the 9th century (the most famous medieval basilica and the city’s symbol), and the mighty city walls with its city gate from the 16th century. See over 30 old town churches, palaces, villas, and the famous Sea Organ and “Greeting to the Sun” light installation. Overnight in Zadar. (B, L)
Day 5 - Zadar - Mali Lošinj
Wake up early to admire this morning’s sunrise over the Adriatic as you enjoy a hearty breakfast. Today’s destination is the island of Lošinj, known as the “sunshine island” with an abundance of pines, wildflowers, and herbs. Lošinj is one of the most popular islands in the northern Adriatic because of its hidden coves and cool Mediterranean vibe. On arrival to Mali Lošinj, visit the Museum of Apoxyomenos. The museum is dedicated to an athlete found in the sea near the island. There will be plenty of time to explore this fragrant island - walk up to the Lošinj Aromatic Garden or to the smaller town of Veli Lošinj, both easy to reach on foot. Overnight in Mali Lošinj. (B, L)
Day 6 - Mali Lošinj - National Park Brijuni - Pula
While enjoying breakfast on board, cruise towards National Park Brijuni, which consists of 14 islands and islets such as Veliki Brijun, the largest. Aside from its beautiful nature, the archipelago has numerous dinosaur footprints. Explore this oasis of magnificent harmony between man, animal, and plant life. In the afternoon, cruise towards Pula. Upon arrival, explore the city that has existed for three thousand years. Settled in the prehistoric era and valued for its strategic location, Pula has been occupied, destroyed, and rebuilt numerous times. Pula Arena is the only remaining Roman amphitheater to have all four sides of towers entirely preserved. Enjoy a Captain’s dinner on board with live entertainment this evening. Overnight in Pula. (B, L, CD)
Day 7 - Pula - Opatija
Today’s destination is Opatija, the Gem of the Adriatic. This elegant tourist destination lies at the foot of Učka mountain, with the longest tradition of tourism in Croatia. Upon arrival, your guide will introduce the magnificent history of Opatija and show the most precious monuments, followed by a chocolate tasting. Evening at leisure to explore, take a stroll on the fantastic seaside promenade and enjoy the excellent gastronomic offer in one of the many top-quality restaurants. Overnight in Opatija. (B, L, T)
